Secrétaire in Ebonized Wood with Boulle Marquetry

Elegant fall-front secrétaire in ebonized wood, richly decorated with Boulle marquetry in both partie and contrepartie techniques. The intricate inlays depict putti, birds, and allegorical scenes beneath canopies, all framed by scrolling acanthus foliage in brass and tortoiseshell.
The fall-front opens to reveal four interior drawers and is topped by a large frieze drawer.
The sides feature gilt bronze female mascarons, and the curved legs are adorned with espagnolette mounts in finely chased gilt bronze.
