Louis XVI style, Napoleon III period (circa 1860–1880)

Dimensions: H. 77 cm × W. 70 cm × D. 47.5 cm
This refined showcase cabinet is finished on all sides, making it ideal for placement at the center of a room or on a pedestal. The beveled glass fall-front is framed with raie-de-cœur gilt bronze moulding and embellished with an azure-tinted porcelain plaque, typical of Second Empire taste.
Raised on fluted tapering legs with baluster heads and toupie feet, the structure is unified by an ornate pierced stretcher, decorated with scrollwork and two opposing dolphins — a charming neoclassical motif.
Signed on the lock by Boudet, a prestigious Parisian cabinetmaker and marchand-éditeur active at 43 boulevard des Capucines.
