This elegant Louis XVI round end table features a richly sculpted gilt bronze frame with three legs headed by finely detailed ram’s heads, descending to cloven feet.
The top and lower tier are set with white marble panels, encircled by beaded bronze edging. The lower shelf is supported by a tripartite stretcher, centered with a classical rosette. A superb example of Second Empire neoclassicism, reflecting the 18th-century fascination with Greco-Roman iconography.
